The older I get, the less useful having friends seems. They are mostly an unworthy group of people who are generally self-serving and require constant babying in order to be happy.
Maybe I'm terrible with people. Seems that way. I'd love to meet someone who isn't constantly burdened by their past, or can be themselves or can see beyond their own wants long enough to be a somewhat decent person.
I don't expect people to be perfect. I do expect a general level of respect, but instead, get a handful of vapid, self-righteous friends.

I've been reading articles to find out what opinion I should believe about the whole free agency "The Decision" chaos and decided I didn't care about the supposed morality about how the whole thing shook out and am just disappointed the Blazers didn't do a sign and trade with Cleveland with LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden.
At first I started thinking that by signing three max guys, it was a terrible decision, but then I figured if LeBron and Wade can learn to hit set jumpers and threes, they'll be more than alright. I mean, with the way that James and Wade can cover the perimeter defensively, I am not entirely sure the Heat will need four guys on the court at any given time. Both block over a shot a game, which is actually more than Bosh manages in a given season.
Wait, Bosh, who is a 6-10 post player, can't manage to get his hand on the ball more than one single time a game? I hope that changes. For the money they threw down on Bosh they could have signed Eddie House, Mike Miller, Tyrus Thomas, Leon Powe and Jermaine O'Neal. They'd have a couple great shooters and hustlers in Powe, Miller and House and when they wanted to go insane on the defensive end, throw in Thomas and O'Neal for height or for an extremely talented and focused defensive squad.
The Heat might have been able to get Haywood through trading Beasley around. Point is, there are a lot of good role players to be had for little money this summer- not so many will be had for what is available to the Heat after Bosh took the money and cap space.
I'll give Bosh a season to show he isn't overrated. But if the Heat fail, I'm leaning towards blaming him.
